Approach

People have an internal, often unconscious operating system by which they engage all aspects of life. Carol assists her clients in creating a personal system that enables them to better cope with the stress and demands of life. She helps them work toward inner balance that promotes self acceptance and validation of one’s potential.

In working with individuals, Carol uses various approaches depending on the individual’s issues and level of comfort. Psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, experiential, and systems approaches are often used in therapy sessions. Carol assists clients in personal growth by exploring their role in current reality and helps them create a new perspective to better deal with life's challenges.

Carol uses the Imago Process when helping couples develop new tools to move through conflict. Unlike other couple modalities that are generally cognitive-behavioral, Imago focuses on integrating all aspects of self, establishing a foundation for a relationship of greater substance and interconnectedness, supporting both individual and couple growth.
